Three “Ashley Bears” have gone to new homes this week – these are given to children who have either been neglected or witnessed domestic violence. Sadly this is all too common. These bears are given on a case by case basis through Social Workers, Refuge, Health Visitors etc who know the individual case (and sadly the details) that have affected these children.

January is a tough month financially for everyone – so far this month we have provided the following – 4 x stairgates, 5 x weekly foodshops, 10 x baby gift bags, 12 x essentials boxes (containing toiletries and cleaning products), cot, mattress & bedding, nappies, baby clothing, blackout blind, pull up pants, birthday gifts x 10, dolls house, school uniform, teenage clothing, clothing to allow a young girl to go for an interview, toiletries, sanitary products, highchair, football kit so a little boy can join in the school club, duvet, pillow, pillowcases and bedding for a girl who is caring for her mother, and currently sleeping on a rug on the floor; and trainers and uniform so a girl can go to school and increase her school attendance. 30 “Ashley” Bears to all the children currently staying at the Refuge. Thank you to everyone for their continued support
