Lockdown Update

The past two weeks have been really busy. We have continued to provide arts & craft, and toys for children in poverty to get them through the lockdown period; baby equipment, clothes & nappies to a baby born into poverty; a microwave and clothes airer for a family in poverty; a highchair and stairgate for a child in poverty; bunk beds and mattresses for children who were sleeping on the floor; stairgate and cupboard locks for a toddler who’s parent had escaped domestic violence; a travel cot for a child in poverty; toys and games for a child in poverty; 2 beds for a family leaving the refuge and setting up home; baby equipment for a baby under child protection; numerous food shops for families in poverty; a triple canvas wardrobe for a family in poverty; kitchen equipment and a triple canvas wardrobe for a family leaving the refuge; cot bed, bedding and mattress for a child in poverty; clothing for siblings in poverty who’s parent has suffered domestic violence; a birthday present for a child in lockdown, who was staying separately to their parent; bedding and a hoover for a family in poverty; two beds for a family who had been homeless, and are now setting up a new home.

Lockdown Treats

Thank you to the individuals and the companies who have donated money for us to buy crafts and toys for underprivileged children in lockdown. There is another order arriving this afternoon. This will be distributed over the next week or two. The children are going to be so excited – thank you!!!

April Update

We continue to be busy during lockdown – over the past few weeks we have provided bedding and kitchen equipment for a parent leaving the refuge; 16 food shops; 2 x mattresses for a family leaving the refuge; 2 x birthday presents for children in poverty; a travel cot for a child in poverty; a fridge freezer for a parent who had escaped domestic violence; a cooker for a family in poverty; baby equipment for a family in poverty with mental health issues; a cot for a baby living in temporary accommodation; an oven for a family in poverty with learning difficulties; numerous toiletry and cleaning packs for families in poverty; craft items for over 50 children so far; books for a toddler in poverty; Lush Easter goodies for over 50 children and their families; baby equipment for a newborn in poverty; a stairgate for a child under child protection; 2 further stairgates for a family in poverty to keep their child safe; a bedguard for a child in poverty; toys for many children in poverty; and a travel cot for a toddler licing in a small room with their parent.
