Role Play Bournemouth Providing Support for Underprivileged Families

~~PLEASE DONATE FOR A CHILD TO ENJOY A PLAY AND EAT SESSION WITH US AND SHARE SHARE SHARE THIS POST!~~

Thank you for all your ideas about creating a charity event or session for kids at Christmas. As we said we would contact Ashley’s Birthday Bank and see what they suggested we do, being the experts!

Based on your suggestions we asked them whether a dedicated play session (party) on a specific date near Christmas, for underprivileged children would be the best choice. We explained we would raise money towards the cost of the children’s play and food for up to 15 children and we would provide a free hot drink for the accompanying adults.

However, they replied:

“Due to the sensitive nature of the clients we support, we feel it would be better if you were able to provide us with tickets for 15 children (Like “golden tickets”) and we can distribute them to some of the families we feel would benefit the most, and they could come to your play centre as a “member of the public with a free ticket” on their chosen day, rather than an organised event for vulnerable families. The families are referred to us through other channels, so we don’t have direct contact with them, but could distribute the vouchers through the referrers.”

So that is what we are doing! We need to raise £105 for 15 children to come and play and eat with us at their own chosen day. We shall print off the tickets for them and Ashley Birthday Bank will pass those on for us.

We will provide a free tea or coffee for the parent/guardian bringing them along. Please help to raise the money with us by sharing this post and keep sharing it, you don’t have to give the £7 but anything will help!

We would like to thank everyone for all their support and patience while we decided the best way to go about it all.
