Thank you to GWE Scott Richmond for providing a Gas Engineer to one of our mums, so she could get the gas cooker safely installed that a family friend had donated. She can now cook for her children.

A small room in their new flat has been made into a home for a new baby who’s family are in poverty – by using paint that was thrown away at the tip and donated offcuts of carpet

New Start for Young Mum
Following a request from Young People’s Social Care, we have provided furniture and a bed for a young mum setting up a new home
Little Things Make a Big Difference
We have provided a microwave for a mum in B & B accommodation who had to take two children down 3 flights of stairs to use the communal kitchen for heating up her babies milk. We hope this makes lfe easier for her
Supporting Mother & Daughter
Thank you to Tony Wilson for donating two single beds, Tony and the staff at Glenigan for doing a collection to buy kitchen equipment, utensils etc, and Guy Morgan from D&L Haulage Dorset Ltd for delivering the beds and settee. We have a very grateful mum and daughter, who are re-building their lives following their stay at the refuge.

Hope after Domestic Violence
After fleeing in the middle of the night following domestic violence, this mum took only a few toys for her chidren and some of their clothes. We have provided beds, mattresses, fridge freezer, toys, furniture, hoover, a much needed family day out etc.
Grateful To Be Appreciated
We always feel humbled when we get lovely comments back from our referrals. A few comments we received last week –
“I just wanted to drop you a line to say how much I appreciate your help. By the nature of my work as a Housing Family Outreach Worker I am often working with clients who are struggling financially hence the high level of referrals from me. As I am often working with families in financial crisis the food shops you have provided have been an absolute godsend and has often meant the difference in being able to pay a weeks rent to avoid being evicted. The fantastic work you do is hugely appreciated!! Thanks so much for all your help!”
Another parent who had been through domestic violence – “Oh my goodness, I feel like I’ve won the lottery”,
And another parent who has been staying in the refuge and moved into her own property –
