Thank you so much to Wave 105 Cash for Kids Superhero Day who were raising money for local families experiencing holiday hunger. They have donated £4,151.00 to us, so we can carry on providing food shops for children in poverty in our area. The school holidays are always a tough time, as these children normally receive free school meals, and families struggle to feed them during the long Summer break. We are so grateful for your ongoing support of our small charity.
Thank you so much to The Alice Ellen Cooper Dean Charitable Foundation for their generous donation of £5,000 towards our “No Child Should Go Hungry” Project. We were overwhelmed when we opened the envelope.
In the last week alone, we have had two very sad referrals. Children fending for themselves going through bins (subsequently now in the care of loving family members) and siblings who were abandoned by their parent and the older sibling has had to take on the parent role.
Horrifying that this is going on in our area. But thanks to funding like this, we can carry on providing weekly food shops for these families
