A Much Needed Holiday for a Local Family
We feel blessed with the continual support we receive from local individuals and Companies. We received a call from Wave 105 as a man had phoned them to offer a week’s holiday to a charity who support families in need. We thought of a family straightaway who have been through an horrific ordeal recently, and truly deserve a family break. So thank you to Mark Hibbs and Wave 105 – two children and their mum are beaming from ear to ear. We hope this will be the new start they all need.
Donation of New Bike
The generosity of local people is amazing, and helps us continue to support families in need. We received a phone call today from a man who “wanted to help a local child who has had a difficult life”. He went and purchased a brand new bike, assembled it and delivered it to us. This will be going to a young lad who would benefit the most from this bike. Thank you so much to Michael Farrell from Retro Recovery. This will make so much difference.
Easter Egg Donation from Glenigan
Thank you so much to Glenigan – to Tony Wilson for organising the collection, all the staff for donating and to their Boss Vicci McEwen who matched the amount of eggs donated by her staff. These will be collected over the next few days and distributed to underprivileged children in Poole, Bournemouth & Christchurch through Social Workers and Pastoral Care Workers.
Local Company Donations
Thank you to Poole Greyhound Stadium; Farmer Palmer’s Farm Park and The Tank Museum for donating tickets for our forthcoming raffles. We really appreciate your support.
Ongoing Support from Tesco
Calming Autistic Children
Ongoing Support from Spiritualist Church
Fantastic night as always at Charminster Spiritualist Church – thank you for inviting us to hold a raffle at tonight’s event. An added thank you to Andrew Byng for donating part of his fee to us. We really appreciate all your support. We raised £118.00, which will buy a food shop for a family, and pay for 4 essentials boxes for families in need
Providing a Teddy for Every Child Suffering Domestic Violence or Neglect
We are VERY excited to launch “Ashley Bear” – this little bear will be given to children who have been through domestic violence or neglect. Someone to hug, and talk to when they are feeling sad. We have wanted to purchase and launch these for so long, and thanks to a grant from Talbot Village Trust, and our fundraising efforts last year, we can now make this possible. They will become our “mascot” and hopefully give the children some comfort.
Fantastic Donation from the Gannett Foundation
Thank you to Bournemouth Daily Echo (Gannett Foundation) for their grant of £3,900.00, which will enable us to continue providing weekly food shops and microwaves to families in need.
