A Token Gesture
Thank you to Waitrose Winton for choosing us as one of the charities for November 2018 in their green token scheme. Please pop a token in, as you will be helping to support our food shops for families in poverty this Christmas. Thank you!
Pyjama Day Raising Funds
Thank you so much to Upton Infant School who are holding a Pyjama Party after half term to raise funds for our “Beddie Byes” scheme, which will raise vital funds to ensure no child continues to sleep on the floor. Good luck with the fundraising, and we love the very appropriate theme for your fundraiser! If anyone else would like to hold a sponsored event for us, please get in touch – ashleysbirthdaybank@gmail.com
Vitally Important Mental Health Training
Thank you to Ouch Training Team for offering us a free place on their two day Mental Health First Aid Course. Two of us will then hold a certificate in this, which will be fantastic for working with our clients. It covers all aspects of mental health, including bi-polar, depression, suicide, post natal depression, anxiety etc.
Preparing for Christmas
Thank you so much to Wessex Fixings for donating 200 white sacks in readiness for our Christmas gift referrals.
“Every Little” Definitely Helps!
Thank you to everyone who popped a blue token in our collection point at Tesco – every token really does make a difference, because we are the lucky winners, and we will be receiving over £3,000 which will help us continue to provide food shops and microwaves for families in need. The microwaves are vital for families in temporary accommodation as they very often only have a kettle in their room, and we have to provide food which they are able to heat to feed their children.
Parents Struggling to Provide School Uniform
We had referrals for new school uniform for 24 children. Reasons for referrals were poverty, awaiting universal credits and families who had escaped domestic violence and left everything behind. We hope all the children feel smart in their uniforms, and have a good school year. Thank you to Nicola Cadby Mooney from Rustic & Retro Cakery who has raised £101.00 from raffles towards our uniform purchase. We really appreciate your kind gesture xx
Every Penny makes a Difference
We collected full charity collection pots from Molly’s Cafe Broadstone and Arts University Bournemouth yesterday. Raising a massive total of almost £150.00 between them!!!! Thank you so much. If anyone else would like a charity pot at their workplace, please get in touch
Generous Donation from Asda
Thank you to GWE Plumbing for helping a Mum in Need
Thank you to GWE Scott Richmond for providing a Gas Engineer to one of our mums, so she could get the gas cooker safely installed that a family friend had donated. She can now cook for her children.
